TAKE – verb: to reach for and hold in one’s hands or get into one’s possession, power or control.
Logan Mitchell is a man who’s always been more than happy to take what he wants. It’s a philosophy that’s proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try—he’s hooked.
Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.
He has a choice to make, and it’ll force him to do something he’s never done before—take a chance.
Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan’s apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man.
Ever since then, he’s thought about little else.
At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body’s curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning.
He’s starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it’s one full of excitement and satisfaction—a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.
Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they’ve found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

My Review
We couldn't wait to get our hands on Take. We pick up where we left off in book 1, Try. The dynamics have changed for Logan and Tate. Logan's mind is in over drive as he tries to piece together what it is about Tate that has changed his view on relationships. "With this man, he wanted it all. All he’d once dreamed of was right there within reach. All he had to do was reach out and take it.” Tate was nervous, never did he think that a man would capture his heart but just the sound of Logan's voice put him at ease, it also helped that Logan was a gorgeous man. “I didn’t even stop to think how old you were. I just had to have you. That should tell you everything.” Like all new relationships you get to know one another, of course Logan and Tate do it with a sexiness and banter they keep you wanting to know more. “We’re hardly strangers. But then, you might have forgotten all the dirty details at your age” When Tate tells his family he is dating a man things don't go smoothly and they're against his new relationship. While Logan's brother Cole is accepting, he is bringing things to light for Logan and he's not sure how to deal with these things. While Logan is comfortable in his own skin he isn't so comfortable with deep feelings and relationships, for Tate it's still new to him and now to his family. “Breathe and give him what he wants. He’s right there asking for you. So reach out and fucking take him” They are both still struggling with what they are feeling for each other, coming to terms with it and admitting it is hard for both of them. “The lock that had kept his heart firmly shut away had finally found its key.” What happens when Tate takes Logan home to meet his family? Let's just say his mother needs to be bitched slapped. With Logan by his side Tate confronts his family head on and says things that surprised even Logan. (Kristy - I just want to wrap Tate and Logan in a Mumma Bear hug). Logan being the sexy alpha male that he is has a few choice words of his own. “There’s a hint of sweet with a full helping of stubborn and dirty as fuck” With the words of his parents still fresh in his head he does the one thing that is going to break Logan...(Kayla- I wanted to scream at Tate to not shut Logan out). Just when things go back to better than ever a person from Logan's past makes an appearance... Kristy - Ella Frank is an amazing author she pulls you in right from the very start, hooks you and doesn't release. Ella does a fantastic job taking you through the eyes of another with self discovery, acceptance, trust, self doubt, denial, hurt and love. This is a beautifully written story that touches you on so many emotional levels. Every person deserves to love and be loved regardless who that person is. Having a family that is unsupportive of your life choices is heart breaking, poor Tate my heart broke for him. I love that Logan was outspoken and taking care of what's his. Kayla – It’s been two days since I’ve finished Take and I think I’ll need another few to get over this book. While I have no firsthand experience with what a same sex couple faces, Ella portrayed what I believe many people that are in a same sex relationship go through. Bravo on another fantastic book Ella. I cannot wait to see where Tate and Logan take us next. Emma - I feel like I have waited forever for this book so when I received an ARC I almost wet myself and dropped everything to get it on with my favourite boys. Ella has an amazing writing skill that pulls you right in holds onto you and won't let go. Be warned you will be in a book funk after this for one reason or another. We want more Logan and Tate so Ella, get writing!
“That’s your truck?”
“Yes.”
“It’s so…”
“So what?” Logan challenged as he pulled his keys from his pocket.
“Old?”
“Excuse me. I’ll have you know I was driving this baby all through college and she still runs like a dream.”
Tate watched as Logan walked over to run his hand over the scratched-up tailgate, and he was amazed that he even made that look sexy. Like he was stroking a lover.
“And it’s a she, huh?”
Now around at the passenger’s side, Logan opened the door and looked at him over the bed of the truck. “Yeah. Jealous?”
Laughing, Tate walked over to where Logan stood with a hand on the door and kissed him slowly on the mouth.
“I’m jealous of anything you stroke like that.”
“Get in the truck, Tate.”
“Or else?”
Logan stepped forward, crowding him back against the inside frame of the vehicle. “You’re not ready for the or else…”
