Our Review
Every time we pick up a Chelle Bliss book we know we are going to love it, and Uncover Me was certainly no disappointment to us. This is Thomas’s book and is number 4 in the Men of Inked Series.

As we know Thomas is working undercover for the DEA for the Sun Devils MC. ‘Blue’ as he is known to his biker family is a tough man, a hard ass, he has worked his way up the ranks in a short amount of time and is Sergeant at Arms. He has been working undercover for so long, seeing Izzy has left him deep in thought. This job has taken so much out of him not just his time but it’s worn him down and changed him from the man he use to once be. He has missed out on so much with his family and having an actual life, the things he has seen and done can’t be easily erased. There is one person that has kept him true to himself, and always calms him, Roxy.

Roxy grew up in surrounded by club life. Her mother a club whore, her father once a member of the club. Thomas is the only good thing in her life. She sees his tender side, the side the club doesn't see. She knows underneath he’s a good man, what she doesn't know is who he really is.

“I wanted to profess my love, beg him to be mine, and ask him to never leave me, but I didn’t. If he didn’t say the words back, I’d be crushed. Cradling his face in my hands, I watched him come undone. As his weight collapsed on top of me, I snaked my arms around him, feeling the heaviness against me.”

The relationship they have is beautiful, it shows the gentle side to Thomas that we know all the Gallo men posses. He knows he wants more with Roxy but can’t help to think what will happen to her after all this is over? The club will be gone, he can’t risk losing her, she means something to him. Could she still want him when she finds out who he really is?
This book was different the the previous Gallo books, we felt it was deeper, more emotional. I (Kayla) must admit I cried a few times. The family moments were so beautiful and we found ourselves laughing when all the Gallo’s get together for a family dinner; never a dull moment when the Gallo’s are together.

Coming up next from Chelle is Anthony’s book, we are looking forward to knowing more about him. After finding out a little more about Anthony I (Kristy) can’t wait to see why Anthony is really so closed off to love and what has this women done to ruffle his feathers? There is definitely more to his story then Chelle let us in on. People watchers are always more interesting!

Abbi Glines You Were Mine

image1[1].JPG

From #1 "New York Times" bestselling author Abbi Glines comes a brand-new Rosemary Beach novel about Tripp Newark and his hidden romantic past with Bethy Lowry.

In the eyes of the wealthy playboys who frequent Kerrington Country Club in Rosemary Beach, Tripp Newark is a hero. Under pressure from his parents to become a lawyer and lead a conservative, upper-class life, Tripp disappeared from town five years ago to travel the world, forfeiting the opportunity to inherit millions. Yet few know what he was really running from...

Bethy Lowry was unraveling long before her boyfriend drowned in a riptide trying to save her after she'd had one too many drinks--again. A trailer park kid working as a cart girl among the wealthy patrons of Kerrington Country Club, Bethy has always been impressionable. But five years ago, before she earned her reputation as a hard-drinking, easy girl, she had spent a single summer with Tripp Newark that changed her life forever…

You were mine is book 9 in the Rosemary Beach series. Abbi Glines had me gripping my book, not wanting to put it down and at the same time scared to turn the pages. This book held so much sadness and regret that it could have gone any way. The mystery that surrounded their story from the very beginning had me begging for this book and it was definitely worth waiting for.

“The night grew darker, and the silence wrapped around us like a cocoon. A place where the past seemed distant and the future was unknown.”

Tripp Newark has a past, one that he has been carrying around for 5 years. 5 long excruciating years. Growing up in a family that was pushing him to be something he wasn't, Tripp made a decision to leave Rosemary beach, in doing that he left behind Bethy, the one girl he loved, who made his life something he wanted it to be. But leaving took so much away from them both. Returning years later, Tripp is welcomed home by his cousin Jace, and now girlfriend Bethy, but when Jace suddenly dies trying to save Bethy’s life, both Tripp and Bethy are left with broken hearts and so much anger.

Tripp feels like he owes it to Bethy to look over her, he feels responsible for what she’s gone through. After all had he not left her behind in Rosemary Beach, she wouldn't be going through any of the heartbreak and devastation she is.

“I had nothing to blame Tripp for. The wall I’d built to keep out all the memories that came with him finally crumbled and left me completely raw.”

Carrying on life after Tripp left her was never easy, but when Bethy and Jace start dating she feels like she can move on. she can leave behind everything that Tripp put her through. Unfortunately when Tripp returns years later, old feelings resurface, anger, hurt and resentment. Deciding that being friends is easier than blaming Tripp for for her downfalls Bethy finds herself remembering the past, and what it was like with Tripp, before Jace. But the guilt she carries around from both Tripp and Jace is too much. She has her walls up and put in place. Slowly learning to be friends and trust each other will open more wounds than either of them imagined.

“When I needed to be saved from the darkness that losing you had put me though, he’s the one who saved me. He’s made me laugh again. He’s made me feel again. And I wanted to live again. If I live my life, that doesn't mean I'll forget you. That won’t happen. What we had will never leave me. You will never leave me.”

You were mine had a rawness to it that was so alluring. Tripp and Bethy’s past was surrounded by mystery and resentment that we could never have imagined. But somehow their delicate and broken pieces fit together.  Another stunning book from one of my all time favorite series. Bring on book 10 in the series Mase and Reese’s book, When I’m gone.

There was no bright light in my death, but perhaps that is because I wasn’t destined for the angelic beauty of heaven. No, my short lived life had been played out with so much sin and excess that there would no doubt be a special cage in hell with my name on it. In my death, I felt and saw nothing. No warmth, no cold, no light, no darkness, just nothing. When I woke, he was gone, the only piece of perfection in my ugly world. Part of me was grateful that he had finally found the good sense to leave. Another part of me was broken, irrevocably and agonizingly broken.

image3[1].JPG

When I was asked to read Violet Addiction I never expected to encounter so many emotions. I found myself having to step away and take a breath, not because I didn't like the book, or because it wasn't holding my interest, but because it was so emotion filled.

Violet Trivoli and Cain Everett were best friends. Meeting at a young age and sharing a common love of music, they soon come to realize they are each others equil. Her mesmerizing voice, his captivating talent playing the piano, they find they are drawn to each other. As the years pass they are now a duo, successfully playing music together. Their friendship tilting over to the more than friends boundaries, but never too far.

“His words were a smooth caress to my heart, and I wanted nothing more than for him to continue talking.”

Violet has an addiction, cocaine, when she uses, she hits it hard and falls even harder. Cain is there to pick her up, everytime, without fail. But when Cain realizes that he can no longer stand by and watch her downfall he walks away from Violet.

In her darkest depths, Violet learns to deal with everything in her past that she has suppressed, she’s doing well, coping with life without Cain the best she can and moving on. When a tragedy strikes she’s forced to return home, to where her her addiction started, and face her past. when she bumps into Cain for the first time since he left her, she never expects that his life has changed so much. Cain is just as shocked as she is...

“I dont want you to follow me there, Cain. My crazy is no place for you”

A beautiful, emotional, and self destructing read, her downfall was so hard but her rebirth was so heartwarming. Such a well written book. This was my first time reading a Kirsty Dallas book and won’t be my last.

Bella Jewel 'Til Death Volume Two

Volume Two Cover[1].jpg

image1[1].JPG

You know how it went for me.
You know what he did.
You know the fire he left inside my soul when he crushed me into a thousand tiny pieces.
Since Marcus, my life has been a blur of emptiness.
Since Marcus there has been nothing.
I’m alone, my Mom is dwindling and I feel nothing but emptiness. I work long, I work hard, but why? There’s no longer anything to fight for.
I know I have to face him. I know I have to go back. To fix my life, I have to break my ties to him.
Seeing Marcus again will destroy me, but it’s time to finish this.
I don’t expect the bitter, twisted emotions I’ll feel when I see him again, and when I lose everything once more, because of him, the only thing on my mind is revenge.
But how do you hurt someone you still love so deeply?
How can I still care for a monster? How can he still make me feel?
Our story is the most complicated of them all, it’s far from beautiful, it’s far from perfect, it’s just a twisted mess of emotion that neither of us knows how to fix.
But we will fix it. You’ll see.

****Contains spoilers from book 1****

Bella Bella Bella Jewel, we have been dying and not so patiently waiting for Part 2 (well one of us was, while the other was harassing Bella). Both of us couldn't wait to get our hands on this book. Part 1 was incredible, the storyline and writing blew us away. We have been dying for more delicious Marcus. Book 1 left us on a cliff, and the month that we waited for part 2 was torture!

"This one is for all the beauties who have had their hearts destroyed by a beast. Just remember, there’s always a rainbow, even on the darkest days."

Marcus and Katia’s life together started off as a one sided business deal; the one thing Marcus never thought would happen would be falling in love with his wife and thats exactly what he did. The day she found out the truth to their marriage not only destroyed Katia but it destroyed Marcus as well, he never knew loving someone but also hurting them could make him feel like this.

With the ending of Part 1, Everything Katia had thought to be true was ripped apart; her life destroyed and her heart broken. Marcus did the one thing he knew how to do best, he pushed her away rather than admitting he may just be falling in love with his wife. How can he love her? It was just a business arrangement, a convenience.

Marcus never expected to feel love and now that he has and it has been ripped from him in revenge, a business deal gone sour. Now he is trying desperately to piece himself back together but failing, his life is miserable. Who would have thought the man with the iron heart would find a women to melt it...

Katia is gone. He got what he wanted. Marcus knows that saying hurtful things to her to push her away would work, but it's backfired, how could things change and he end up feeling like this?

"How am I supposed to pull myself together when my glue is fucking gone?"

Katia is a broken and bitter, her heart has been shattered and destroyed. What happened with Marcus has taught her a lesson, one she plans on finding a way to make him pay! One day she will get her revenge, one day she will learn to breath again. Since moving away life hasn't been easy, going from having a wonderful life where Marcus took care of her and her mother; she is now caring for her ill mother, working 12 hour days, she's hanging on by a thread and nearly surviving. Turning to the only person she can for help her father arrives without hesitation. It's now time to pull up her big girl pants and go and end her life with Marcus and divorce him. Facing him is not going to be easy.

When Katia and Marcus see each other again there is so much hurt for them both. Katia is bitter and wants revenge but at the same time confused, Marcus is still as gorgeous as the last time she saw him. The attraction she felt before is still there, she is is so displaced by her feelings, using them to fuel the fire she has  to seek payback. Marcus isn’t coping so well with Katia’s return. Seeing her is bringing everything he has been feeling to the surface, it’s overwhelming him, he has never had to deal with so many overflowing emotions. Dealing with these emotions is a deadly game, one neither of them are prepared for.

"How is that possible? How the hell have I been living in darkness while you’ve been dancing in light?”

Part 2 is well worth the wait, make sure you have nothing on because you are not going to want to put this book done once you have started. We both read this angst filled book in one sitting. The twists, the storyline, the way it’s been written will leave you speechless. We loved everything about this book. If you thought Part 1 was good then you are in for a treat because Part 2 is even better and then some. The words at times exchanged between Marcus and Katia are deep, meaningful, passionate, beautiful and painfully raw.

This book has blown us away and is one of our favorite of Bella’s, Congratulations on another brilliant book we are looking forward to what you release next!

Godsend by Sloan Johnson Cover reveal

Title: Godsend
Author: Sloan Johnson
Genre: Adult, Gay Romance
Coming: February 2015
You can’t choose who you fall in love with. Despite knowing from a young age that he was gay, Scott Murphy couldn’t imagine life without Shelly. He threw away the labels and had eleven amazing years with her, but now, he feels even more lost trying to figure out how to move on after Shelly’s death. After nearly a year of watching Scott fade away, Shelly’s father forces him to start living again.

As much as Chris loathes the idea of attending a bereavement group week after week, it’s one of the only places he can go in this town, other than the bar, to not feel so alone. When there’s nothing to distract him or dull his senses, he spends too much time obsessing over how he should have been able to help his sister. When Scott shows up at his group session, Chris decides that maybe some good can come out of his sister’s death.

There’s no denying that Chris is the first man to catch Scott’s attention in a long time, but how can he move on when just thinking of Shelly sends him to his dark place?

The road to recovery won’t be an easy one, but Chris is determined to help Scott see that life is still worth living. But before Scott can allow himself to admit what he feels for Chris, he knows he has to reveal the full truth about Shelly’s death.
Sloan Johnson is a big city girl trapped in a country girl’s life. While she longs for the hustle and bustle of New York City or Las Vegas, she hasn’t yet figured out how to sit on the deck with her morning coffee, watching the deer and wild turkeys in the fields while surrounded by concrete and glass.

When she was three, her parents received their first call from the principal asking them to pick her up from school. Apparently, if you aren’t enrolled, you can’t attend classes, even in Kindergarten. The next week, she was in preschool and started plotting her first story soon after.

Later in life, her parents needed to do something to help their socially awkward, uncoordinated child come out of her shell and figured there was no better place than a bar on Wednesday nights. It’s a good thing they did because this is where she found her love of reading and writing. Who needs socialization when you can sit alone in your bedroom with a good book?

Now, Sloan is a tattooed mom with a mohawk and two kids. She’s been kicked out of the PTA in two school districts and is no longer asked to help with fundraisers because she’s been known to lose herself with a good book and forget she has somewhere to be.
