Synopsis:
Every student at Shame U has their secrets, and Henley Brooks is no exception. Struggling to pay for college and maintain her perfect reputation has become overwhelming. When her friend Gigi Oxford offers her a night of carefree fun, she can’t pass up the opportunity to unwind.
After a night of drinking turns to chaos, Henley finds herself alone with Lucas Young, a student from London who has come to America to unravel a few secrets of his own, as well as break a few hearts.
Covered in tattoos and drowning in liquor, Lucas was everything Henley should avoid but couldn’t resist. She soon begins to fall for him like the many women before her. But after stumbling across something he didn’t want her to see, she learns that Lucas may not be who she thinks he is.
Henley and Gigi devise a plan to teach Lucas a lesson, but it isn’t long before Henley learns that no one at Shamus Thornton College can be trusted.
When everything begins to feel like it is falling apart, there is only one person Henley wants to pick up the pieces, even if he is the person who caused her to crumble.

My Review 5 Stars
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Teresa Mummert.

You guys...this book gave me the book hangover of all hangovers. It is every new adult and romance readers dream come true! Mrs Mummert did an excellent job of capturing the college scene. So much so that it made me miss my college days! The angst, the secrets, the back and forth...it kept me glued to my kindle from start to finish.

Henley is a good girl, studious, and hard working. She spends her free time buried in the books and rarely, if ever, goes out and enjoys herself. She saves every penny to help her mother back home and is determined to get an education a become an independent woman. When her best friend Gigi convinces Henley she needs to let loose one night and enjoy herself, she had no idea that night would change everything.

Enter Lucas, the quintessential bad boy: tall, handsome, muscular, tattooed. And let's not forget that accent. I swooned every time he referred to Henley as love. People are quick to judge Lucas based on how he looks but we all know not to judge a book by its cover. I loved how he was with Henley. The sexual tension was off the charts.

Their relationship was so back and forth. Toxic one moment and swoonworthy the next. Does he really like me? Does she really like me? Who was playing games with who? Whose secrets would come out first? The angst just rolled off of the pages. I really couldn't put it down. I wanted so badly for them to find their HEA. Shameless was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, deceptions, assumptions that sent my heart rate soaring.

Shameless is book 1 in the series but it can be read as a standalone with a HEA. With secondary characters as animated as Gigi and as brooding as Beef, I am very much looking forward to the second book and will be counting down the days.
