WOW Carmen Jenner you blew us away. When we found out you were writing a novella for Elijah and Ana we couldn't wait, the teasing was driving us crazy!
We LOVE the Sugartown series it has all our favourite qualities from the characters personalities, no filters, banter, drama, angst, love, intensity, cockiness, humor and emotion that makes you feel like you are along for the ride with the characters. We love how one minute you are making us laugh and the next you can make us cry, there is never a dull moment or a place in your books that we can stop to put it down.
For a novella it surpassed our expectations, what an amazing addition to the series. Greetings from Sugartown is well worth the wait and then some.
Elijah and Ana are two broken people each with their own insecurities about one another and life. They are trying to move on from their pasts that tried to destroyed them. Together they can get through anything right? Life can't get much worse than what they have already experienced, it's there time for rainbows and glittery unicorns isn't it?
They have been through more than most couples ever have to, which hasn't made for the easiest of times. Having lived the life he has, Elijah is down on himself. His own insecurities are holding him back, he questions himself; is he enough for Ana? does he deserve someone like Ana? Yes, he does deserve Ana, he hasn't stopped trying to be the man she deserves. Ana is the light to his darkness, having her makes his demons fade back into the dark. Every day is brighter having her wrapped around him, making him want things in life he never thought he wanted.
Their past hasn't defined them, what they have and where they are has only strengthened them, not only as individuals but even more so as a couple.
Secrets and people from the past have come back to haunt them, putting their relationship under strain. Can Ana put her doubts and own insecurities aside or will they push Elijah away.
We can't wait to see what happens next in Sugartown!
Kristy - Carmen left me speechless, it is rare for me to be left with no words to describe how I feel about a book that exceeded my expectations. I am still struggling to find the right words with how I feel about this book, and hope I do it justice. I LOVE this series, I am in awe of how Carmen writes these awesome characters and storylines. One minute she has me laughing out loud, then she has me sitting on the edge of my seat, I'm back to PMSL and finally you have me forming tears. I absolutely LOVE these characters, together they make you feel like you are there with them. I can't speak highly enough of this series, characters or your style of writing.
Kayla- This book left me feeling so many emotions I didn't know where to begin. I am so thankful I had my review partner Kristy and a fellow blogger from Glass Paper Ink Book Blog, Kristine to talk to. I would have gone crazy without being able talk about it. We may have even pestered Carmen a bit with our fan girling. I was sobbing in parts of this book, huddled up my lounge and in other parts I was laughing so hard I snorted! I believe this novella has been the BEST book of Carmen's and will totally blow you away. Thank you Carmen for trusting us enough to read it, we absolutely LOVED it.

I come up onto my knees and yank my shirt over my head, then I go to work on my belt and jeans, allowing them fall down around my ankles. My belt hits the floor with a thud, and I kick off the scratchy, oil stained denim. “Take your clothes off.”
“You don’t think maybe we should talk some more about this?”
“Ana, baby girl, take your fucking clothes off before I rip them from your hot little body.”
She raises her hands in a warding gesture. “Okay, okay, taking them off.”
“You’re taking too long,” I growl, and pounce on the bed. I don't hear what she says next because I'm too busy burying my face in her tits and inhaling. She smells like she always does, a mix of vanilla and baked goods, only now she smells like my favourite whiskey, too. Ana arches her body towards me, and there's a mixture of both fear and excitement in her gaze as it meets mine. She's not wearing a bra, so her full, beautiful tits are in my hands the second I lean up and free her body from her singlet. I close my mouth over one nipple, gently biting down on the pink flesh. She moans.
“I should make you mad more often.”
“No, you really shouldn't.”
“I don’t know. The make-up sex is always a little more intense.”
“You want intense, baby girl?”
She nods, and gives me a devilish smile as she strips off her underwear.
“Close your eyes,” I command. She does as I ask, and I pull the top sheet out from underneath her, tearing the edge with my teeth and ripping through the soft cotton. Ana’s eyes spring open and she leans up on her elbows. She’s horrified.
“What the hell are you doing?” she yells. “Those are two thousand thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets.”
“Do I look like I give a flying fuck about your bed sheets? Close your eyes, and lie back on the bed. I’m not going to ask you again.”
