Anguish Banner
Title: ANGUISH (Jokers' Wrath MC, #3)
Author: Bella Jewel
Release Date: October 27, 2014
There are a lot of things in this world that are easy to escape from. Having a son you didn't ask for isn't one of them. Mack is a nomad. He likes his own space and he struggles with emotion. His past is grey and his future looks about the same. That is until his ex-girlfriend dies and his son is handed over to him. A two month old baby he didn't know existed. Until now. His world comes crashing down around him. Desperate, he hires a nanny. Jaylah has gotten herself into some serious trouble, so when she sees the job opening for a nanny pop up, she jumps on it. Of course she's not a nanny, but she figures she can pull it off. I mean, how hard can it be? She's thrown into a world of diapers, hourly feedings and a whole lot of laundry. She's also introduced to the most rugged, gorgeous man she's ever had the pleasure of meeting. The best part, he's the baby's father. The worst part, he's a biker. Their sexual tension is huge, but he's a hard nut to crack. She'll get in, though. She makes it her mission to break through the wall Mack has built so high around himself. Her world is about to spiral out of control, and she's taking Mack along for the ride.   Jokers Wrath MC

“You stole my fuckin’ drugs.” The foot at my throat presses me further into the cold, scratchy pavement. I gasp, my fingers clawing at fleshy ankles. His skin doesn’t budge; my nails are too short to break the flesh that I’m so desperately scraping at. It does nothing to move him, or send him on his way. Instead, he pushes harder, cutting off more of my air supply. “That’s not exactly how it went down,” I croak, struggling. “You were meant to deliver them; instead you fuckin’ sold them, and ran with the money.” He’s right about that. I did take the drugs and sell them. I had good reason—my boyfriend was in trouble, and I was doing anything I could to get him out of trouble. I didn’t think ahead. I didn’t realize that I’d then owe a very unhappy drug dealer money. Not my finest moment, that’s for damned sure. “I had no choice . . . I was helping someone I care about.” He presses his boot down further into my throat, and my air supply narrows down to a dangerous level. My head pounds as the blood and oxygen are cut from my brain. “I bet that person ain’t here helpin’ you tonight, now, are they?” No, he’s right about that. Samuel is probably sleeping with someone else. The moment his debt was cleared, he left me. The dirty, cheap fucker left me. Now I’m dealing with the backlash. A furious drug dealer who wants his money. Money I don’t have. “Don’t I get,” I gasp, “one chance to get your money?” He glares down at me through angry grey eyes. I squirm again as my vision starts flittering in and out. Shit, I’m going to pass out and he’s probably going to kill me, or worse, drag my helpless body away to do God knows what with. “I have m-m-m-money,” I croak. “If you had money, you wouldn’t have stolen my drugs.” “I . . .” God, I’m on the edge. “I can get it. I s-s-s-swear.” He stares at me, and for each second he does, my vision swims. Then, much to my relief, he lifts his boot off and reaches down, hurling my weak body up. He pulls me close, so close that our noses touch. My knees wobble and I have to push all my focus into not falling flat on my face and giving him another chance to take me. “Listen, and listen fuckin’ good. You’ve got two weeks, and trust me, that’s me bein’ fuckin’ generous. Get my money, or I come for you.” Shit. I nod. “Don’t try and run. You do, I’ll fuckin’ find you.” I close my eyes, take a deep, burning breath and nod again. “Two weeks.” Then he’s gone. And I know . . . I just know . . . I’m in deep, deep shit.

Our Review
5 Brilliant stars!!!!

We couldn't wait to start Anguish and dive into all that is Mack,we LOVED him in Melancholy. Bella Jewel knows how to pull you in keep you hooked and wanting more. Jokers' Wrath MC is one of our all time favourite series, Precarious blew us away, Melancholy was full of emotion and depth and Anguish was off the charts, scream from the roof tops, amazing (ok so we might be girl crushing on Bella now.)

Miakoda *swoon*, or better known as Mack has had it rough in more ways than one. Always being people's second choice if any, never once has someone put him first or fought for him. He has lived a nomad life, traveling from club to club, always closing himself off from everyone around him, never letting anyone see who he really his. Santana being an exception, seeing a side of Mack no one else does. Their relationship is one of friendship, after all she’s Maddox's old lady.

Mack is mysterious, sexy (off the chart SEXY), protective and one hell of an alpha male. While he may not show any expression of emotion to anyone, his words at times are laced with a higher depth of emotion. His life has been about his MC, now his life has been turned upside down, the small little package named Diesel the was thrust into his life has lead him one black, pink and purple haired siren who comes into his life with way more than he expected.

Jaylah is in trouble and needs a break from her life, she takes a job as a nanny, working this job will keep her profile low and make her a great income; she has big debts to pay. Babies can't be that hard right? What she didn't bargain for was her new boss being a biker and not just any biker he is apart of a well known MC club and to top it off he is the most GORGEOUS man she has ever seen. This should be interesting…

Mack is a straight shooter, Jaylah is sassy and loves a good banter. From the moment they meet their sexual tension is sparking, we are talking fireworks! Mack and Jaylah together will have you hooked. (Kristy - I am loving Jaylah her banter had me laughing out loud, I am girl crushing on her!)

“Excuse me, biker, but you’re the one who hired me without asking questions.”
He crosses his arms. I jerk my chin up.
“Just do your fuckin’ job.”
“Jesus, you’re a bossy man. I’m surprised anyone decided to breed with you in the first place. Yeesh”

Working for Mack is not easy, while he keeps to himself he can be moody and bad tempered, the money she's making is good and enough to keep her around so she can pay off her debt. Jay makes the best of her job and situation, making new friends and learning a lot about herself along the way. Being a part of this family isnt easy. If things were different sure she'd have a go at Mack, she can't he's her boss after all, She needs to keep it professional.
“Fine, if things were different, I’d most certainly jump on and ride the fuck out of that sexy biker. Happy?”

Mack will have you swooning from the moment you meet him I, (Kayla) was blown away by his character, he is so deep and once Jaylah started peeling back his layers the man underneath is so perfect. Jay’s past is slowly creeping back to her as is Mack’s, when their pasts come to the surface shit is about to get crazy. Hoping they can hold on and ride it out is going to be hard, will they get through this? how much pain and hurt can people go through before they break?

Once you start Anguish you aren't going to want to put this down, make sure you have plenty of time to read this baby in 1 sitting. Mack and Jay's journey will hook you in, the banter, sass, sexual tension, emotion, passion and self discovery will have you frantically flipping the pages. This is another amazing addition to the series and is high up there on our must read recommendation list. We are desperate to get our hands on ‘Til death, Marcus and Katia’s story, this will be book 1 in the ‘Til death series.
