MY REVIEW
5 Overwhelming Stars!!!!
Overwhelmed by You is book 2 in the Tear Asunder series and is the story of Kat and Ream. The characters in the first book are present in this book as well, but this CAN be read as a stand alone novel.
Let me start off by saying that this book delivered!!! It had all of the elements that i crave in a good book. An intense alpha male, great supporting characters, a well developed plot with some WTF and Holy Sh*t did that just happen moments, drama (lots of it), and of course the "bad guys" that make your skin crawl while at the same time praying that they get what they deserve.
When I first finished Torn From You I was dying to know what happened between Kat and Ream to cause so much tension and animosity between them. When I got my answer, I was shocked....it was nothing like I expected it to be. I won't tell you what it was but after weeks of developing a close friendship on the farm, Ream ups and walks away leaving Kat bitter and confused. Now the band is back from tour and staying at the farm, leaving Ream and Kat no choice but to deal with their past. By the end of the first chapter you knew that Ream had some demons of his own that he was dealing with but the extent of those demons was just gut wrenching. He was so broken, much more than I thought, but Kat had the ability to fix him.
"You make everything ugly inside me beautiful Kat."
Kat was fighting her own battles though. She didn't want to let go of Ream but she couldn't get over the pain and heartache he caused when he ran out on her. Ream was determined to prove that he could be who and what she needed.
I fucked up. I wont do it again. You need help...i'll be there for you. I wont run Kat".
The journey that these two embarked on to find their happiness was not an easy one. When one's past threatens the other's future, will they be able to survive the storm? This book was absolutely incredible and I couldn't put it down. The writing was so fantastic and it had me glued to my kindle from start to finish. I definitely recommend this book! I will mention that though it isn't as dark as Torn From You (IMHO) it certainly isn't a light read either!
