Our Review

A Hope and A Chance is an emotional heartwarming, yet steamy story of two people existing in life, just trying to get by while life keeps throwing challenges their way. When everything is  constantly knocking you down, your hopes and dreams taken away from you, leaving you with nothing and no hopes for the future you learn to take each day as it comes. When you meet a person that opens you up to living again, you hold tight and don't let go regardless of the consequences.

Hope is 17 and has just graduated from high school early. After her parents divorced her relationship with her father was nonexistent. Now he is back in town with a new 'play-toy' Buffy, and wants to see her again. Seeing her father again and meeting his new girlfriend wasn't easy, what was easy? the gorgeous guy living in the pool house.

Chance is 21 and a shell of his former self. Not to long ago he was outgoing and the life of the party amongst his friends and girlfriend, he was living the college dream on a full ride. All it takes is one moment in time for his life to come crashing down, his life destroyed. Now he is a loner living with his sister Buffy and her boyfriend in their pool house, he has no life.

When Hope and Chance meet things change for both of them, even more so for Chance. A simple gesture from Hope is soothing and opens him up to thinking about what he could have, a second chance at having a real future again and love.

Hope and Chance play a tug of war with their feelings for each other. Hope is very persistent and won't give up on him, one taste of Chance only leaves her wanting more. Chance wants her but his head is telling him how much of a bad idea this is as well as her father warning him to stay away. But his heart and his body are moving on their own, it's been so long since a woman made him feel wanted.  He has craved the touch and closeness of another for so long and it's not just the physical interaction he craves. It's more, not wanting another one night stand; Hope has made him feel again leaving him wanting more and wanting more out out life then the loner existence he has been living.

“What happened to you? What happened to make you not be willing to let me in?”

When Hope and Chance finally gives into their internal battle with their feelings it is just the first step they need to get past.

"I have never safer than when I am in your arms."
"You don't know how much that means to me, Hope."

For Hope, Chance has opened her up and shown her what love is meant to be like, he loves her with everything he has and everything he is. For Chance, Hope has given him a reason to let someone close to him and a reason to live and not just watch life go by. Hope and Chance have more than one obstacle they need to overcome, their relationship is put to the test in more ways then one.

Excerpt:
Being with him like this was so erotic. We were exposed in the woods. It was private, but not really. I pulled Chance’s shirt over his head, while hearing a car go by on the road we’d came in on.
We felt the raindrops hitting us, but did nothing until they became heavier. We should have stopped, but the more the rain hit Chance’s body, the more I wanted him. His chest was so slick when my palms glided over it. I leaned forward, lapping up the drops of water off of his skin. The sounds of our bodies slapping together echoed off the trees, along with our matched bout of moans. I reached up, taking a handful of his wet hair and pulled his lips into mine. Our slippery mouths played together, each kiss intensifying with our steady pace. Chance pushed me back, allowing my body to lie flat on the car. He ran his hand over my slick breast, circling my nipple with the wetness from the downpour. Thunder rumbled in the distance, sending chills all over me. This wasn’t just crazy, it was dangerous, making it the hottest sex I’d ever experienced.
I savored Chance’s lips again, sucking the water off of them, and then licking them dry. He teased me with his tongue, pulling away when I leaned in, and with no warning he picked up his rhythm. Chance pumped into me so hard that I cried out each time our skin smacked together. My toes curled as I felt myself losing control of my muscles. As I clung to him overwhelmed with passion, he tightened up, closing his eyes, drawing his ending out. He held me tight against him, and let the rain continue to fall down on us.
We were two people, naked, in the middle of the woods, too caught up in each other to care about anything else.
