image1[1].JPG

Book Three of the After series—now newly revised and expanded, Anna Todd’s After fanfiction racked up 1 billion reads online and captivated readers across the globe. Experience the Internet’s most talked-about book for yourself!

Tessa and Hardin’s love was complicated before. Now it’s more confusing than ever. AFTER WE FELL...Life will never be the same. #HESSA

Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about first her family, and then Hardin’s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.

Tessa’s life begins to come unglued. Nothing is what she thought it was. Not her friends. Not her family. The one person she should be able to rely on, Hardin, is furious when he discovers the massive secret she’s been keeping. And rather than being understanding, he turns to sabotage.

Tessa knows Hardin loves her and will do anything to protect her, but there’s a difference between loving someone and being able to have them in your life. This cycle of jealousy, unpredictable anger, and forgiveness is exhausting. She’s never felt so intensely for anyone, so exhilarated by someone’s kiss—but is the irrepressible heat between her and Hardin worth all the drama? Love used to be enough to hold them together. But if Tessa follows her heart now, will it be…the end?

After We Fell is book 3 in the After series by Anna Todd. You cannot read this book as a stand alone. This review contains spoilers from the previous books in the series.

Just like the two previous books in the series, After We Fell is just as much a rollercoaster as its predecessors. This has to be my favorite book so far in the series. I felt like we were actually getting somewhere with the story and that maybe after everything both Tessa and Hardin have gone through there may be hope for the two of them. I was so close in the previous two books to just wishing they would walk away from each other but I'm so glad they didn’t.

After running into her estranged father outside a tattoo shop Tessa is shocked at what she sees. The man that she remembers is not the man standing before her. This man is a drunk and homeless. Offering him a place to stay for a night and to get to know the man he is now couldn’t have come at a worse time for Tessa and Hardin. Her upcoming move to Seattle and Hardin’s refusal to move with her, tension is high and their relationship is at breaking point. Deciding its best if they take a break Tessa moves back into the dorms with Steph for her final days at WCU.

After Steph’s persuasion, Tessa decides to attend her farewell party at the frat house. It doesn’t feel right to be going without Hardin but she’s with her friends and wants to enjoy one of her last nights there. But after an awful turn of events, Tessa finds herself in a situation where the people she thought were her friends were really just waiting for the perfect moment to destroy her. So when Zed finds out what everyone had planned, he comes to her rescue, along with Molly, just in time.

My heart absolutely broke for Tessa she was so helpless. And even more so when Hardin found out what happened. Not only does his past haunt him, its now coming back to ruin not only his life but hers as well.

Moving to Seattle for work and school is just what Tessa needs. Too many bad memories and people need to be left behind, but Hardin's stubbornness to move is the only thing missing. While they do communicate when she’s away, Hardin finds himself in Seattle before to long, visiting Tessa for the weekend.  But he’s hiding a secret from Tessa back home, one that he knows is for her benefit, one that would only bring more stress to her. Still not having found a place to live, Tessa is living with Kimberly and Christian. She needs her own place, one where she has time to digest everything.

When news of Hardin’s Mum’s upcoming wedding reaches Tessa, she starts to question her struggling relationship with Hardin. After everything they have worked so hard for, and their communication has gotten so much better; why is he hiding things from her now? But we all know why Hardin doesn’t want Tessa to attend the wedding with or without him. England is where his demons are. So many bad memories, things from his childhood, things from his teens, where he made so many awful decisions, that ultimately resulted in him moving to the States. Reluctantly and being giving an ultimatum Hardin decides he and Tessa will go to England for his Mother’s wedding where the one secret everyone has been keeping from him can destroy everything he has worked so hard for in the past 6 months.

Bravo Anna! This has to be one of the most amazing, emotion filled, jam packed roller coaster ride books I've ever read. Although this book was a huge 834 pages, I needed every one of those pages. I loved the journey, and the growth of these two characters that I have come to love so much. Although they still have their normal arguments and fights, Hardin and Tessa both evolved so much more in this book. Tessa grew a backbone and finally stood up and fought for what she wanted and needed. Hardin changed for the better, he controlled his anger a lot more and I felt like emotionally he was more open and honest with his feelings. His willingness to accept his family and spend time with them on his own accord just proved to me how much he wanted his relationship with Tessa to be salvaged.  The separation is just what they needed, time apart to breath, their relationship is so toxic at times its like they can’t breath. They drive me crazy at times but their dysfunction is what makes this book so perfect. I would love to sit and read this book again, I found myself flipping the pages like mad trying to find out what was coming next and the ending had me picking up book 4, After Ever Happy as soon as I finished book 3, hence why its taken me so long to write my review. I cant wait to finish book 4 and find out where Hardin and Tessa’s journey ends.
