I have been waiting for this book for so long, Trish and Rock are such a huge part of the series I couldn't wait to see how their story started. This is the 9th and final book in the Sea Breeze Series and I would recommend reading these books in order. The first part of this book is Trisha and Rocks story from how they first came together. The remainder of the book is a wrap up of all of the previous characters stories in the Sea breeze series.
Trisha Corbin hasn't had an easy life. Always having to protect herself from her mother's boyfriends, and keeping a watchful eye over her younger brother Krit. Her mother did nothing for her or her brother, they only had each other. When the star player of her high school football team starts to take notice of her, Trisha will do anything to get rid of his attention. She doesn't need anyone else to worry about.
Rock Taylor, star footballer, ladies man, has his eyes set on one girl, the hottest girl in the school, but getting a date, or even her attention is proving to be harder than he thought. Driving home one night, he spots Trisha on the side of the road, covered in blood and beaten, he is shocked. Almost instantly Rock is in protective mode, he only wants to help her. With football on the back burner, Rock only has one thing on his mind, keeping Trisha safe.
As Trisha starts to trust Rock more, their relationship grows stronger. He’s the only one who’s ever stuck around, and taken care of her and Krit. Watching their relationship bloom was something I loved. Rock was so good at protecting Krit and Trisha and did everything in his power to get them both a better life. Although it was bittersweet I loved the wrap up of all the other characters stories. I am devastated that this is the last Sea Breeze book but from reading the last few lines in the book I am so excited to see where Abbi takes the characters stories from here. I never ever saw the twist at the end coming. True to her style Abbi never fails to deliver a great book, with our favorite characters.
